This picture was painted in May 2020 in remembrance of all those who died this year. Those who died from Covid or related illnesses are particularly poignant, but for all who have lost someone this year it has been so much harder to grieve in the usual ways. Here we are also acknowledging with thanks the non-stop work day and night of nurses and doctors in this pandemic. Heavy duty paper Mixed media 36cm x 35cm £120 SOLD Prints available £12

This painting brings together many of my favourite things. It’s about light, space, height, peace and colour. It plays with your eyes and brings joy and wonder. Canvas on wooden frame Oils 87cm x 61cm £400

Sometimes playing with water colours produces some unexpected results, this was one of those times :-) Watercolour paper Watercolour 28cm x 23cm £85

This the second of a series of pictures taken from news papers and an old unused bible. I always seem to have a desire to create something, but for a whole year. Canvas of board Mixed media 48cm x 48cm £200

This picture depicts a battle all at sea with itself. I am thinking of the battle we are in at the moment, one like no other we have been through in our lifetimes and beyond. A challenge to stay safe and not end up like the Temeraire, towed away to it’s resting place. I refer to Turners painting ‘The Fighting Temeraire’ Heavy duty paper Acrylic 56cm x 47cm £150

My fourth picture of this wonderful plant, it would seem I can never get too much of it. I have it on bowls and plates and now walls what’s not to like! Canvas on wooden frame Mixed media 60cm x 40cm £150

This is my third Cow Parsley picture, another experiment on the same theme. This one seen as if flying above the world with a real sense of space. Canvas on wooden frame Mixed media 60cm x 40cm £125

I painted this picture to remind myself and the viewer how important it is to play. I don’t think lionesses play, but she is choosing to be different. We all have choices so let’s choose to have some fun, life is short! Canvas on wooden wooden Oils 70cm x 50cm £300

Made from newspapers and an old bible. It’s surprising what you can do with a little bit of initiative and determination. I had this painting printed on the back of T-shirts and my son and I wore them to the summer show that year. I stood in front of Tracey Emin’s work while my son took a picture and can say tongue in cheek I have exhibited with Tracy Emin at the RSA. This picture is deep and meaningful, so I will leave you to find your own meanings. Canvas board Mixed media 59cm x 49cm £200

Like many people I am drawn to fishponds, I love to see the lilies and have spent many happy hours looking at the fish. I no longer have a pond but enjoy this painting as a reminder of times when I did. I love the the games the fish are playing with me! Canvas board Oils 66cm x 56cm £140

The idea for this painting came from a book cover that I saw in a charity shop. I have always loved daises of all kinds and they became very special to me in my last relationship. I think they remind most of us of childhood and daisy chains. I love the way they flower for such a long time and come in so many different varieties and sizes. Canvas board Oils 66cm x 51cm £300

I’ve always wanted to swim underwater but I’m much too afraid. So this was the only way I could watch seals swimming, and in the comfort of my lounge what could be better! Canvas on wooden wooden Oils 115cm x 91cm £600 SOLD

These amazing creatures, I’ve always wanted to see one so painting one was the next best thing. Adding the moonlight completed it Oil on Canvas with wooden frame 112cm x 91cm £500

Everything is connected in life, we are part of each other as we are part of the universe. In this picture you see the many circles of life, and the pathways we get to choose on this journey. Pink the colour of our outer selves and blue depicting our royal blood within while white is being used as a symbol of love spreading throughout. There are 6 layers of paint on this acrylic painting, many happy hours went into making it, enjoy :-) Acrylic paint on board 41cm x 30cm £180

When I first heard this saying It touched me deeply. My whole life has been hampered by poor mental health due to a broken childhood. But in the last 7 years I have learned how to find the treasures within me and I found I can shine! Canvas on wooden board Cold wax and water based oil paint 20cm x 20cm £50

This picture reminds me of the poem by John Keats ‘Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’. In this semi abstract Jack Frost puts on a lovely display enhanced by the moonlight. Canvas on wooden frame Acrylic and charcoal 24cm x 18cm £120

In this picture the storm rages, like the turmoil around us as we go through this pandemic. But the light of the moon gives us a sign of hope like all light does. The bird is going ahead of us and reaching for the moon, we will get the chance to do the same at the end of this threatening, exasperating, and confusing time! We will get there! Canvas on wood frame Acrylic and cold wax with water based oil paint 20cm x 20cm £75

This is a semi abstract painting, it’s a cold stormy winters evening. I so love the moon in reality and in this painting she takes centre stage so to speak, and the scene becomes all about her. Canvas on wooden frame Cold wax and water based oil paint 33cm x 33cm £150

In the middle of a pandemic stuck inside nowhere to go only the four walls to look at, I felt I needed to paint a picture that allowed you to feel a real sense of space. The colour yellow was chosen to lift your spirits, like the birds flying into the sky a sense of freedom and peace. Mixed media on canvas board 50cm x 40cm £150

In the middle of a pandemic where nothing stays the same, the one thing we can be sure of is the world carries on spinning. So even amongst the chaos there is security. Acrylic on deep canvas board 31cm x 31cm £85

I love cow parsley and did a series of paintings, not something I usually do. Once I’ve painted something I don’t normally want to paint it again. This picture was great fun to do, using 4 different mediums. Canvas on frame Mixed media 30cm x 25cm £200

This picture used to be of a jazz band in a club, but I decided it would look beautiful on the sea shore. I changed it adding colour and texture, also repainted the people and instruments. In my head they are playing ‘Stranger on the shore’ by Acker Bilk. Painted on board Mixed media 30cm x 30cm x 7cm £75

This picture has many layers and seemed to have a mind of it’s own, as it grew, developed and became thoughts of African trackers and drumbeats and big hearted simplicity. Canvas on frame Mainly acrylic 35cm x35cm £95

Cow Parsley is my favourite wild flower, it reminds me of long hot summer days in my childhood. This Is the second of four pictures I painted.
